Our Mission

Jesus Christ gave His Catholic Church the mission to evangelize the world when He told His apostles to “make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you,” as recorded in Matthew 28:19-20.

The specific mission of St. Martin of Tours Parish is to minister to Martinsville, Indiana, and the surrounding communities.  All Catholics are part of this mission, and are called to act as Stewards of Christ both to the Martinsville community and to their parish community

So What is a Catholic?

Catholics are part of the universal church based out of Rome, Italy. With over 2 billion members, it is not only the largest organized faith, but the oldest, dating back to 33 A.D. Our religious services happen at least once a week on Sunday and they are referred to as the “Mass.” Curious about what a Mass is like? We’d love to have you stop by, everyone is welcome!

Haven’t been to Mass in a while? We miss you.

Once a Catholic, always a Catholic. If you haven’t been in a while, or simply felt like it wasn’t for you, we want you back. Please join us in Sexton Hall on the 2nd Sunday of the month after the 8:00AM and 10:30AM Masses for our Fellowship Breakfast.
